Today, I want to share how the Aorkuler dog GPS tracker saved my dog Rocky’s life. I didn’t realize it could help me that much. I am so thankful that it prevented me from losing him.
Last month, my husband and I took Rocky on a fun trip to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia.
We were going to take a short hike in the area. Unfortunately, on the afternoon of the second day of the hike, Rocky got lost chasing a fox.
He is a seven-year-old Australian Shepherd. When he was five years old, a car accident caused his vision to deteriorate in his left eye and his right front leg to suffer joint damage. Despite our many treatments, his eye and leg have not fully recovered.
This was the first time we had taken him outdoors for an extended period since his accident. Perhaps it had been so long since he had enjoyed chasing his prey that he forgot to return to us.
My husband and I searched along the route he had run but never saw him. Then I remembered that we had put an Aorkuler dog tracker on Rocky before we left. It was a birthday gift from my sister for him.
I have only used this product once on a walk around the house. At that time my husband found me based on the directions on the controller.
I pulled the controller out of my backpack and luckily it still had power. After the GPS update, we saw the direction and distance of Rocky on the screen.
He was over two hundred meters away from us and hadn’t moved. We were a little concerned if he was injured. So, we moved quickly in the direction shown on the screen.
It was our first-time hiking in this park and we were not familiar with its environment. Luckily the Aorkuler’s controller isn’t displaying a complicated map. Otherwise, we would have spent more time looking for the dog.
After a few minutes of walking, the screen showed nearby, but we didn’t see Rocky. We were worried that the Aorkuler dog tracker was not working.
We yelled Rocky’s name and were disappointed that he didn’t show up. I regret that he slipped out of his leash and ran away. I think I would have been sad and blamed myself for a long time if Rocky had gotten lost.
In my desperation, my husband said that the Aorkuler seemed to have a sound feature. He told me to look for it on the controller. We successfully turned on the Aorkuler’s sound function after trying to press the button on the controller a couple of times.
Beeps were coming from nearby, but not very loud, so my husband and I stayed quiet and looked carefully for the source of the sound. Finally, my husband found Rocky in a one-meter-deep mud pit. He was unconscious and covered in dirt.
We immediately took him to the vet. The doctor said the dog might have accidentally fallen into the pit while running. Since he was running too fast, he hit his head after falling. But luckily there was no major problem.
Within a week, Rocky fully recovered. This hiking trip gave all of us quite a scare. Thank goodness we had the Aorkuler dog tracker on our dog. I can’t imagine how I would live without him.
When my sister first gave it to Rocky, I didn’t think that this little gadget could save my dog’s life. So, I didn’t read the manual of Aorkuler. Only my husband read it briefly.
Now I think no matter what the product is, we should scrutinize what it does. Maybe it can be of great help someday. After this incident, I read the manual of the Aorkuler dog tracker. And went to their independent site to browse the blog content.
It is a best GPS dog tracker. It uses some wireless technology and GPS to work without a phone signal. That’s why it was able to track my dog in real time in Shenandoah National Park.
Once again, I thank the Aorkuler dog tracker for saving my dog’s life. I will keep this tracker on my dog for his safety from now on. If there are dog parents like us living in areas with poor cellular signal, I recommend you get an Aorkuler.
